New Photo Verification Feature
Point Pickup released a new in-app photo verification feature for select clients and deliveries that require photo proof of delivery.
This feature adds significant benefits to drivers as well as the end customer.
- Provides drivers with the documentation for further proof that the order was delivered to the correct house or apartment and left in good condition.
- Improves the customer and store-level experience to provide quick proof of delivery and reduce any questions about accurate delivery.
If a photo proof of delivery is required for your order, the app will automatically prompt you to take a photo when completing the delivery.
Here are the steps to follow for photo verification:
Step #1:
When prompted, allow the Point Pickup app to use your camera as shown in the screenshot below.
Step #2:
After viewing Dropoff Instructions, select Confirm Delivery with Photo. When your camera is enabled, take a photo showing all of the delivered items in the specified dropoff location. If possible, include the house/apartment number in the photo.
Step #3:
If you are happy with the photo, select Confirm Dropoff; if it does not meet the photo confirmation requirements in Step #2, please select Retake Photo and repeat the process.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Photo Verification feature is meant as an added "protection" for customers and drivers in order to confirm successful delivery. It does not exempt drivers from making safe and socially distanced contact with the customer per the Dropoff Instructions. Drivers may not 'Drop & Run.'
