What are Express Deliveries?
Walmart customers now have the option to request quicker grocery delivery times using the on-demand Express Delivery option throughout the day.
Express orders are posted and can be accepted on-demand throughout the day!
After accepting an express order, drivers must arrive at the store for pick up within 30-minutes of accepting.
Select 'Go To Pickup' on the app before you head to the store.
IMPORTANT: While COVID-19 procedures are in place, you will need to wear a mask while picking up in-store orders.
Select 'Arrived at Pickup', on the app, once you've arrived at the store.
Walmart Express deliveries are in-store pickups.
Follow the blue signs to the express pickup counter in the store. Identify yourself as a Point Pickup driver and provide the name of the customer for the express delivery.
Once you have received the items, select 'Confirm Pickup' on the app.
Select 'Go to Dropoff' and proceed to the customer's address. Be sure to follow any additional instructions in the delivery notes.
Verify that you are at the correct drop-off address. Either call the customer or make visual contact with them to confirm the delivery. Once the items are delivered safely, mark the order as complete.
FOR FAILED DELIVERIES/STORE RETURNS: If a delivery can't be made, you should select "Failed Delivery" on your Driver App and choose the appropriate reason for the failure. When an auto-return to store order is created, follow the RETURN instructions at the bottom of the notes, as return procedures for Express deliveries are different than those for pickup (see Driver App screenshot #3 below).
When returning Express orders to the store:
- First, go to regular pickup parking bays.
- If no bays exist, follow the in-store pickup instructions and proceed to Express delivery
- Given the concern about coronavirus (Covid-19), we're working closely with our clients to ensure the safety of Point Pickup drivers, store employees, and customers.
