Batch Orders are a new type of order that combines separate delivery orders (and order numbers) with the same store pick-up address and two or more customer drop-off addresses. Batch orders are designed to match two or more orders from a store with drop-off locations that are close in proximity to each other.
How can I tell if an order is Batched?
Batched orders are labeled “Batch” followed by the number of customer drop-offs. In the example below, you see Batch: 2 drops. This means, you have one store pick-up and two separate customer orders/drop-offs.
Batch Order Payout
The price will be displayed in the same location as a single order. The price displayed is the payout for carrying out both orders in the batch.
How long should I wait at the store for a batched order?
Drivers are required to wait at least 15 minutes for the orders to come out. After 15 minutes, if the orders have not come out, drivers may choose to cancel the order or continue to wait. Drivers will not be paid a store wait fee if the order is cancelled by the store due to a delay.
If neither order is ready, please read the following article for more information.
Confirming pickup or batched orders
Once you have marked that you have arrived at the pickup location, wait for a store associate to load the orders into your vehicle. Select “Confirm” for each order once both orders are loaded into your car and you have confirmed with the store associate that you have all the items.
Which order should I deliver first in a batched delivery?
The Driver app will automatically guide you as to which delivery to complete first. Please follow the app instructions.
Be sure to swipe “Confirm Delivery” for the first order after it has been dropped off, and then proceed to the second drop-off location to finish the order.
